Nine out of ten clients who come to us for an initial consultation on anti-ageing treatments will put concerns over crows feet and eye bags at the top of their list.

We tend to tailor an eye treatment according to skin condition, age of client and lifestyle.

Permanent fat and cellulite removal without surgery sounds a bit too good to be true - but it does work!

Here are some questions that our clients typically ask about our treatment:

What Is It?

It's an ultrasound body sculpting treatment that instantly breaks down fat and cellulite safely without invasive techniques such as surgery

How Does It Work?

It works on the principle of Cavitation. It's a natural phenomenon, based on low-frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound field creates bubbles in the liquid surrounding fat cells. These bubbles gradually increase in size during the treatment, until they reach a stage where they implode. This implosion of the bubbles causes a pressure wave around the fat cell, causing vibrations. These vibrations, along with the gentle heat emitted by the ultrasound applicator, cause the membranes to collapse, allowing the stored fat to escape into the fluid surrounding the disrupted fat cells.

So What Happens To The Released Fat?

After the fat cells have been penetrated and broken apart, the fat molecules stored inside the cells can escape into the fluid surrounding the fat cells as described.

A Little Bit Of Science...... The fat molecules are then subjected to a metabolic and enzymatic breakdown process. The metabolization of the released fat causes it to break down further - basically we end up with two components of fat that the body can then dispose of easily - glycerol and free fatty acids. These two components are disposed of via the circulatory system and the liver respectively.

BOTTOM LINE (no pun intended!) is an instant, permanent breakdown and disposal of fat from the offending area. Results are long-term and continue to improve with each treatment.

Is It Safe Or Will There Be Side Effects?

The treatment is clinically proven to be safe, as it is targeted only at the fat cells. The surrounding tissues such as muscle, blood vessels, nerves and bone remain undisturbed. There can be slight side effects such as redness of the treated area, which calms down quickly, feeling thirsty - a good thing, as we advise clients to drink plenty of water to aid the fat elimination process. Otherwise, no other problems; no down-time, no painful recovery, as in the case of surgical liposuction.

How Much Can I Expect To Lose?

As we said, the results are immediate and long-lasting. We've experienced anywhere between 2-10 cm loss after one treatment, with increasing results in the treatments following. Of course they vary from person to person, and it's not just about the amount of fat that is eliminated, but the change in body shape that follows!

Micro Dermabrasion for a Polished Performance!

Micro dermabrasion is  the perfect way to freshen skin and is the treatment of choice for many TV personalities and  A List celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. Your wedding photos are a tangible memory of your big day, so it’s only natural to want them to be perfect. That’s why picking the right photographer for you is a must.

Top-quality photographers are usually booked well in advance, so as soon as you have booked your venue, you should begin your search for one.

QUESTIONS TO ASK THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Before you sign on the dotted line, ask your photographer the following:

• Do you shoot on digital or film? These days, most people shoot to digital, which means you’ll be able to flick through a disc of images quickly and easily. 

• How many pictures will you take? The beauty with photographers who shoot digitally is  that they can snap away, whereas film usually limits the amount of images a photographer can capture.

• Who will edit the pictures? Find a photographer who takes time to edit them professionally

• How long does the photographer intend to stay around on the big day?

• Who owns the copyright? Check that you get all the high-res images otherwise you will have to keep contacting your photographer every time you want an image.

• When will you get your photographs?

Have a think about the style of photography you want and how you imagine your finished wedding album looking. When browsing through wedding magazines, cut out the wedding shots you like so that you can show your chosen photographer the sort of styles that appeal to you.

Many photographers have a distinctive style that’s unique to them, and your pictures can be as traditional or as quirky as you like. Before you make a definitive decision make sure you look at the photographer’s portfolio. It’s also extremely important to check his or her credentials: what qualifications do they have? And are they a member of the MPA (Master Photographers Association) and BIPP (British Institute Professional Photographers) or The Guild of Wedding photographers?

Make sure you understand what everything – including reprints and albums – will cost, and ask, too, about deposits and payments. What happens if there is a cancellation, or if the photographer can’t make it on the actual day? You need to be sure there are suitable contingency plans in place if required.

Your wedding make up is an important part of your overall look, and it's vital to get it right if you want your photographs to show you in your best light.

Starting with a good 'canvas' is the best way to get your look perfected, but if you have problems with breakouts, scarring, redness or dry patches, it can spoil the look you are hoping for.

The best course of action is to prepare a few months in advance of your wedding, by having regular monthly prescriptive facials, designed to tackle your specific skin problems.

If this isn't possible, all is not lost. A good make up artist will be able to do a 'cover up' job that will minimise skin imperfections and correct problems like dark circles under the eyes, and redness.
